THERE ARE SO MANY THINGS THAT WERE BORN IN LA LIBERTAD! AND LET'S NOT JUST THINK ABOUT ANCIENT CULTURES ... THE CEVICHE, THE SAILOR AND THE STEP HORSE, ALSO HAVE THEIR ORIGIN HERE. WE WILL VISIT BEACHES AND WAVES, TOWNS AND CITIES, TEMPLES AND MUSEUMS, ON A TOUR AS OLD AS THE SUN, AS COOL AS THE CEVICHE.
FORESTS AND FALLS OF PUCAYAQUILLO
The access to the Pucayaquillo waterfalls is by a trail(1.8 km) totally surrounded by forests, which will allow us to learn, in a pleasant botanical walk, a large number of plants and trees representing the forests of Tarapoto...
From pioneer trees and palm trees to hardwood forest species. Epiphytic plants such as vines, and climbers. Medicinal plants and resins that are used to coat and shine the native pottery. We will come across dart frogs of bright colors, rows of curuhuinsis carrying cut leaves and, of course, and the "respected" Isula ants. The final prize is a toning bath in the crystal clear waters of the waterfall, watching the dance of a morpho butterfly, with its electric blue color, among a lush green.

LAGUNA AZUL OF SAUCE
Laguna de Sauce, or Laguna Azul, is the most popular tourist destination in Tarapoto. To reach it, since there is no bridge over the Huallaga, the river crossing, the ‘chimbada’, is made on wooden platforms seated on boats. The ascent towards the lagoon offers us beautiful views over the river, in the curve known as the Punta del Gallinazo...
And the arrival in Sauce is spectacular! In Sauce we will have a day of walking and relaxing around the lagoon, stopping at the best beaches for swimming. The Laguna Azul is a beautiful water mirror surrounded by green hills. On the banks of the lagoon the local population is engaged in fishing. Precisely the catches that catch from their canoes are those that will later serve us on the plate; in Sauce the fish is always fresh.
